Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy aims to provide us with a safe space to feel and embrace the hidden and vulnerable self with compassion and acceptance. By exploring our present and past experiences, psychotherapy will help us to make sense of why we feel the way we do. We will begin to understand why certain situations trigger specific and/or undesirable responses. This process will enhance self-knowledge, self-awareness, and develop better understanding of experiences and events in your life which have shaped us. It can help with some of these issues and more:
by exploring unconscious conflicts and patterns contributing to emotional distress.
by exploring early attachment experiences to manage current relationship dynamics differently.
by addressing deep-seated beliefs and emotional wounds that affect our self-esteem.
Addictions
by exploring unconscious drivers and unresolved emotional pain that maintain our addictive behaviours
Identity Issues
by navigating questions we have of our identity, self-perception, and life direction.
Anger and Emotional Dysregulation
by examining the underlying causes of intense or suppressed emotions.
Professional Supervision
Supervision Services For All Professions
I offer contemplative supervision for all professions.
Professional Supervision attends to the impact of work on the worker and the worker on the work. It offers a neutral, confidential and safe space for the worker to do in depth reflection of himself/herself at work and develop autonomy as a practitioner in his/her own field of work. It aims to provide space for reflection, not reporting, as is typically done in work supervision focused on work appraisal and the enhancement of work performance.
Who may Benefit
Supervision will benefit people who hope to foster their own growth and the growth of those they work with in terms of duty of care in the quality of duty of care. Those who yearn to have a contemplative space to wonder and explore will also gain new perspectives.
Approach of Supervision
The approach aims to foster an intentional dialogue between the individual’s inner motivation (soul) as he/she meets the demands in their professional field of work (role) and the everyday realities (context) which inhibit the person from finding harmony between his/her motivation and role.
It takes a soulful and inclusive approach to life and work and invites participating supervisees to engage with their own practices and traditions. Creativity features strongly in this supervisory process – colour, sound, imagery and poetry may be employed. More information on supervision can be found here.
